Who are we ?

98 cents is a dance duo team, made up of Paul Hawaikirangi and Kylah Ashwell. Based in Gisborne New Zealand, we formed in 2022 and have been competing nationally and internationally since.

Our work is rooted in Hip Hop and street style dance, bringing fresh choreography and dynamic performances to the stage. We frequently run pop up dance workshops in Gisborne, share dance with local schools, and involve ourselves in community initiatives.

Collaborating on community theatre productions we have contributed choreography to shows such as:
